Customer Interview No. 2

My idea following my company SurfsUp was designed to give aquatic personals the best experience out there. My idea of which customers I was targeting definitely had to change because I saw that the customers were targeting mostly woman, which was exactly what I didn’t want. Not in any offense to females versus males, but males were definitely the target I wanted to aim for most. I say this because most experiences surfers on the east coast are male, with then following a 50/50 ratio of females and males on the west coast. Thus is why I am listening to the comments of the last interviewers and expanding my shops. My questions now follow the experience they had while using my products versus others, and to share there stories about it with me.


What I learned about my opportunity idea was that its not about what exactly you’re selling, its about the approach in how you expose your products that you want to sell, and who your target buyers are/should be. Three tips to students for next semester are to know whom you want to target, know exactly what it is your selling and make sure you have had complete experience with it before, and lastly, love what you’re selling! No one should love your product more than you!

  1. Its very clear that you took from your past comments and actually applied them to these new interviews! It's created a whole new interviewing process! I hope you were able to collect better results this time! Only critic would be your actual post. It was a little difficult to actually read it since its black font on black background. I had to highlight in order to read it. Would be great if you could change the font to white, but overall great job!!

  2. As mentioned above by Evelyn, I also had a hard time reading this post due to the color of the text and background, but nothing a little tweaking can't fix. I liked reading about how you decided to readjust your aim as far as target audience goes. A successful part of entrepreneurship lies in being able to properly identify who suffers from this unmet need. In addition to this, the approach is also equally important. Great post!

    I really enjoyed your post as it is evident that you learned from your last round of interviews and applied the new knowledge in order to better your venture. It seems that you were able to learn from any imperfections of the first interview assignment, which is exactly what these next few rounds are for.
